1、熱裝法

這是一種將加熱80～90℃的食品或飲料，趁熱裝入熱的鋁箔袋中，進行密封后，在高溫或一定溫度下貯存的方法。這種處理方法主要用于酸性大的液態食品。

2、蒸煮法

這種方法主要用于一些酸性較小的食品，如肉、魚、家禽、牛奶、雞蛋等。溫度一般為121℃或134℃。采用的方法是將鋁箔袋(蒸煮袋)放人高壓密閉容器內用蒸汽或加壓水加熱。根據蒸煮袋在時的不同情況可分靜置加熱與回轉加熱等。 加壓高溫根據采用的加熱介質不同，又可分飽和蒸汽、空氣加壓蒸汽以及加壓水等。目前用的較廣的為飽和蒸汽，因為該方式費用經濟合理，濕度控制方便。

鋁箔袋包裝食品或飲料后也可以通過紫外光線的照射達到的目的。在采用該法時，要視包裝袋大小、內容物的多少，而確定紫外線的照射強度和時間。
